2. Overview
We process personal data only to the extent necessary to provide a working website, our content and our services, or where you have given us your consent. The main legal bases are Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent), Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract and pre-contractual measures) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interests).
3. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA. When you visit the website, the hosting provider automatically processes technical data that your browser transmits: IP address, date and time of access, requested page, referrer URL, browser type and operating system. This is necessary to deliver the website securely and to detect and prevent attacks (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Log data is deleted after a short period, unless it is needed to investigate a security incident.
Vercel Inc. is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. We have concluded a data processing agreement with the provider; data transfers to the USA are additionally covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
4. Cookies, local storage and consent
We use cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage). Technologies that are strictly necessary — for example storing your cookie choice — are used on the basis of § 25(2) TDDDG and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. All other technologies (analytics and marketing) are used only with your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG.
When you first visit the website, a cookie banner asks for your choice. Your choice is stored in your browser for up to six months. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future via Cookie settings in the footer of every page.
We use Google Consent Mode v2. For visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Turkey, all analytics and marketing storage is disabled by default until consent is given.
5. Google tag (gtag.js)
We use the Google tag (gtag.js) by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”) to load Google Analytics and Google Ads measurement. The Google tag works with Google Consent Mode v2: without your consent, no analytics or advertising cookies are set and only cookieless, aggregated signals are sent. Google may process your IP address. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for the consent-controlled operation of the tag, and Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR for analytics and advertising storage.
6. Google Analytics 4
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 by Google to analyse how visitors use our website (e.g. pages visited, duration of visit, device and approximate location). IP addresses are not stored in Google Analytics 4. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA; Google is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Data is retained for 14 months.
7. Google Ads conversion tracking and remarketing
With your consent, we use Google Ads conversion tracking and remarketing by Google. This lets us measure which ads lead to enquiries and show our ads to people who have visited our website before. Google may set cookies and process identifiers and usage data for this purpose. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. More information: Google Privacy Policy.
8. Meta Pixel
With your consent, we use the Meta Pixel by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Ireland. The pixel is only loaded after you have allowed marketing cookies. It helps us measure the effectiveness of our Facebook and Instagram ads (for example, whether an ad led to an enquiry) and to show ads to relevant audiences. For the collection and transmission of data to Meta, we are joint controllers with Meta (Art. 26 GDPR); the corresponding agreement is available at facebook.com/legal/controller_addendum. Data may be transferred to Meta Platforms Inc. in the USA, which is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
9. Contact form
When you use our contact form, we process the data you enter (name, email address and, optionally, phone number, company and your message) together with the page and language you used, in order to answer your request. The form data is sent by e-mail to contact@aok-enterprises.com via the form service FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), which we use as a processor; data may be processed outside the EEA. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your request relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in answering enquiries). We delete your data once your request has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
10. Contact by email or WhatsApp
If you contact us by email or WhatsApp, we process your contact details and the content of your message to handle your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). WhatsApp is a service of WhatsApp Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland. Clicking our WhatsApp button opens WhatsApp with a pre-filled message; no data is transmitted to WhatsApp before you click. Please note that WhatsApp processes metadata on its own responsibility; you can also contact us by email.
11. Fonts and icons
All fonts and icons are hosted on our own server. No connection to Google Fonts or other external font or icon providers is made.
12. International data transfers
We are based in the United Arab Emirates. When we receive your data directly (for example, through the contact form or by email), it is processed by us in the UAE. Where we use service providers outside the EEA, we ensure an adequate level of data protection, in particular through the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
13. Storage period
We store personal data only as long as necessary for the respective purpose or as required by statutory retention periods. Consent-based data is deleted when you withdraw your consent, unless another legal basis applies.
14. Your rights
You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3)). To exercise your rights, send an email to contact@aok-enterprises.com.
Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): Where we process data on the basis of legitimate interests, you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. You may object to direct marketing at any time without giving reasons.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU member state of your habitual residence, place of work or the place of the alleged infringement.
15. Obligation to provide data and automated decisions
You are not obliged to provide personal data. Without the data marked as required in the contact form, however, we cannot answer your request. We do not use automated decision-making or profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.
16. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy when our website or the legal requirements change. The current version is always available on this page.
